Why is it that the beginning of a school year always adds about a hundred things to your "to do" list?! All the boys were officially in school - for a full day - on Monday, August 17th. Which means I have been busy buying books, school supplies, new uniforms, backpacks, you name it, they seem to need it! And the beginning weeks of school would not be complete with out "Meet the Teacher" nights. High School, Middle School and Elementary - all of which Scott graciously considers it
MY privilege to attend! This year I am a third grade room mom - so be expecting lots of pictures from parties, field trips, and any other cool thing we can come up with to do! I am down to my last two years in Elementary school!
Garrett and Grant are both playing football this fall. All the exciting scenes from these two seasons will be captured on their own blogs (which you can find the links to in the right hand column) but since I hate to flood tons of my own boys pictures on the Team site, I of course will have to showcase their individual shots here! Garrett has already had his first game. They didn't come out with a victory, but they sure looked good in their uniforms! Since I am also the 5th grade Football Team mom responsible for acquiring these uniforms, I am especially proud! You have no idea how hard it is to get 30 boys in all the right sizes!
I am still spending alot of time at the doctor with Carter for his back (two herniated discs) which seem to be taking an eternity to heal - so continue to remember him in your prayers. We are trying therapy, chiropractors, steroid injections, and drugs - all in the hopes of avoiding surgery. If you hear of any new path we haven't tried let me know!
Fall weather seems to be here in Nashville - at least for the last couple days - and I love it!
