Spring Break - 2009
Thanks again to Nana and Granddaddy for letting us use the condo in Gulf Shores for another great Spring Break! We were able to hang out with Lipscomb friends and classmates, as well as my brother Aaron, his wife Christina and cousins Erica, Everett and Ethan. We even picked up another cousin, Kyle Sanderson, on the way! The boys love getting to hang out with their cousins. Always an adventure! Clear skies, pretty water and lots of fun. What more could you ask for!

Friends are relatives you make for yourself.
Scenes from a Duck Blind...starring Clint
A special thank you to our friend Johnny McAlister for making this hunting trip possible! Clint had a fantastic time!
Christmas with Chuck
Happy Thanksgiving!
Aaron and Christina
Carter and Jackson
We all enjoyed Thanksgiving with family from my side...the Honakers. Mimi and Grandpa, my brother Aaron, Christina and the cousins, Erica, Everett and Ethan. My Uncle Ted and Aunt Friday. A former Lipscomb basketball player Jason Hopkins and his wife Melissa. And this year we were happy to get to include our friends, Brent, Jackson and Willie Coursey! Not to mention the six of us. Did we really feed all those people?! Somehow we did! The kids enjoyed an illegal airsoft gun war in a nearby state park. Radnor Lake will never be the same! Our entertainment for the afternoon was brought to us by two rising singer/songwriters Carter and Jackson! Look for their music coming soon to a stage near you!
Nana's 70th Birthday
This November was Scott's mother's 70th birthday. All the Sanderson's headed for Birmingham to help her celebrate. Despite the fact that there were nine grandchildren running around her house, we still managed to leave her home in one piece, as far as I know! Wimp and Annette and all their grandchildren. Pretty good looking group!
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
In a world of all boys, there has to be a "girls trip" every now and then! So my friend Laura Sears and I headed down to Birmingham where we met Mimi and Christina for a little bit of Michael Buble! Thanks to our trip photographer Christina for the great pictures!
ROLL TIDE ROLL!
For the last couple of years we have been trying to take the boys to at least one of Alabama's home football games. Last year it was Alabama vs. Arkansas, this year it was Alabama vs. Kentucky. We somehow managed to recruit a Kentucky fan and turn him into an Alabama fan. (Not a very hard thing to do, I might add!) So welcome Darcey Starling to the Alabama Crimson Tide!
Savannah Outen Music Video
Check out the official "Goodbyes" music video by Savannah Outen. It was filmed entirely at the David Lipscomb High School Campus where Carter goes to school. All the students in the video are DLHS students. Look for Carter! He is the one in the back of the classroom, flipping paper footballs (on the right)! This was shot before he got his buzz cut, so you may have to look close! Think he and Savannah have become e-mail pals! Only Carter! (P.S. Before listening to the video, you need to turn off the player at the bottom of the screen. You can turn it back on when you're done. You can also listen to any song on the playlist by clicking on a title.)

Clint's 13th Birthday!

Clint turned 13 on January 30th, 2008. We now have two teenage boys! Clint's big event started with birthday cake and partying in a box suite at Allen Arena watching his favorite college team, the Lipscomb Bisons. Then the crew headed out for popcorn and the new National Treasure movie. After saying goodnight to the female side of the party, the boys got down to the serious business of planning their attack on their favorite teacher, Patricia Binkley! A serious amount of toilet paper was distributed across her entire front yard, assisted by two moms whose names will remain anonymous! Of course, such hard work made them all hungry, so the evening ended with a trip to the Waffle House at 1:00 a.m to discuss a job well done! You only turn 13 once! (Thank goodness!)
